We are pleased to offer the following advice:

Characteristics:

• Timber is a natural product and will have blemishes and knots within the timber as it grows. These cannot be avoided but enhance the patina of the product as it ages.
• Timber will continue to expand and contract throughout the year as it takes on moisture from its surroundings. You will notice this reaction within your home and is totally natural for your product.
• Grain detail will be visible and will vary from piece to piece.
• Colour variance between solids and veneers will be occasionally be visible and cannot be avoided.
• Over time your furniture will mellow and look darker. This is the natural aging process on all timbers.
• Each piece is unique and will not be exactly the same as the rest of your furniture in the same range - this is not a defect as no two pieces of timber are the same.

Caring for your furniture:

• Never use chemicals or abrasive cleaners on your Furniture Oracle furniture.
• Never use silicone based products on your Furniture Oracle furniture.
• Oiled products should be re treated once a year using Danish Oil. This can be obtained from any DIY store.
• As this is an oiled item, the product will have a matt appearance within the finish.
• Always use mats and coasters when placing hot items onto the surface of your product.
• Never use sharp items on the surface of the product, as, clearly, knives and utensils can potentially damage the timber.
• Any liquid spilled onto the item should be cleaned up immediately using a absorbent cloth.
